The basic area in the first semester highlights two perspectives:

  • Management & Strategy:
    You will deepen your knowledge of communication science approaches and selected business and economic fields.
  • Analysis & Evaluation:
    You will discuss communication science concepts and methods and expand your knowledge of data management and analysis.

In the specialization area (second and third semester) you choose two out of three specialization areas:

  • Corporate communication
  • Political communication
  • Knowledge communication

You will attend two seminars and one project in each of your two specialization areas.

In the supplementary area you can freely choose three courses from the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences in order to enhance your profile. Here you can also have modules from abroad as well as university language or soft skills courses recognized (F.I.T. courses, e.g. project management).

You complete your studies with the Master's thesis in the fourth semester together with the accompanying colloquium.

Formal requirements
  • Completion of a Bachelor's or equivalent social science degree program (at least 70 ECTS credits in social science modules)
  • At least 15 ECTS credits in social science methodology (e.g. quantitative/qualitative research methods, statistics)
  • Final average grade: at least “good” (2.5)
