Day of Teaching 2025

Hohenheim lecturers put their heart and soul into their work. They inspire students for research, make complex content understandable, and show how theoretical knowledge can be applied in practice. They shape the university, but are far too rarely in the spotlight. The University of Hohenheim now wants to change this. The Day of Teaching offers a showcase for this: six new awards recognizing outstanding teaching achievements.

The Hohenheim Day of Teaching will take place on Friday, 21 November from 1 p.m. until approx. 5 p.m. in the State Rooms of the Hohenheim Palace. Let yourself be inspired, get into conversation with your colleagues, and contribute your own ideas to make good teaching visible at the University of Hohenheim!

Overview

The diversity of excellent teaching is the focus of the Day of Teaching 2025. In addition to the Hohenheim Teaching Prize, which went to Mr. Andreas Blickle M.Sc. at the Dies academicus, six new teaching prizes are awarded, which demonstrate the range of teaching formats at our university. The prize categories are:

Transfer-Oriented Teaching
Research-Oriented Teaching
Sustainability In Teaching
Study-Centric Teaching
Skills-Oriented Teaching

In addition, the Baden-Württemberg Certificates for University Didactics will once again be awarded to the successful graduates this year.

Oliver Häußler, responsible for strategy consulting for science communication / public engagement at the University of Tübingen and co-founder of Grasshopper Kreativ, an agency for science communication, will lead the proceedings.
