Comparing degree programs

You already know what you want to study, but you're not sure yet which degree program is right for you and how the content of the programs differ from each other? We compared our Bachelor's programs in the three disciplines of Agricultural Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Business, Economics, and Social Sciences using the example of an apple. In the comparison, we explore how a particular degree program views an apple. This way you can see the similarities and differences of the programs at a glance and compare them.

With around 10,000 undergraduate (Bachelor's) degree programs in Germany at present, it is not always easy to keep track of them all. They are free of charge and you can do them any time and anywhere!

Good to know: Anyone wishing to begin a Bachelor's degree program in Baden-Württemberg must provide proof of a study orientation process when enrolling.

We recommend the following two tests for study orientation and for proof of the study orientation process, but there are many other self-tests available.

Orientation Test (OT)

With the orientation test www.was-studiere-ich.de you test which degree program and which occupation best fits you. The test determines your personal interest and ability profile and provides corresponding program recommendations at all universities in Baden-Württemberg. Those who take the orientation test will receive a certificate of participation in the test - no test score will be shown on it.

We recommend the Orientation Test (OT) as evidence for a study orientation procedure for the Bachelor's degree programs at the University of Hohenheim.

Teacher Orientation Test (Teacher Test)

With the online self-test Career Counselling for Teachers, you can find out for yourself whether a teaching degree is a good fit for you. In five stages, you will explore the job profile of teachers and whether this fits you, your personal prerequisites for the teaching profession, and your previous experience working with children and young people. At the end you will receive a summary of your test results as well as ideas for further steps.

Students who wish to study Biology Teacher Program for Gymnasium, B.A. or Education for Business and Economics, B.Sc at the University of Hohenheim must prove that they have taken the teacher test as a study orientation procedure.
