Application for cooperative degree programs

For the following degree programs, application, admission, and enrollment takes place at the University of Stuttgart as a cooperation partner:

Admission requirements

To successfully apply to the University of Hohenheim, it is imperative that you meet the following admission requirements:

  • University entrance qualification (HZB)

With the general university entrance qualification ("Abitur") you can apply for all Bachelor’s programs. The subject-related university entrance qualification (“fachgebundene Hochschulreife”), on the other hand, only entitles the holder to study degree programs in that subject or closely related fields. With the “Fachhochschulreife” alone, you cannot study at a full university in Baden-Württemberg, but only at universities of applied sciences. Even without a university-track secondary school diploma, however, there are paths to university.

  • Proof of your participation in an orientation test

Anyone wishing to begin a Bachelor's degree program in Baden-Württemberg must provide proof of a study orientation process. You need to take the orientation test before the application deadline. Keep the confirmation that you completed the test in a safe place, as you will have to submit it with your application for enrollment if you are admitted.

Allocation of study places

If there are more applicants to the first semester of a degree program with a limited number of places than there are places available, then the selection is made according to the following criteria in the order given:

1.

Advance admission

Preference will be given to applicants who had already been admitted and were not able to accept the place. Reasons for this can be, for example: Voluntary social year, federal voluntary service, military service. To begin your studies after your service ends, you must reapply and submit a copy of your previous admission letter and service certificate.

2.

Advance quotas

Separate study places are provided for some applicant groups:

3.

Remaining university places

90% University selection procedure

The selection criteria are specified individually for each degree program. Criteria may include:

  • Average grade for the university entrance qualification (HZB)
  • Weighted individual grades of the university entrance qualification
  • Selection interview
  • Extracurricular/vocational qualifications

10% Waiting time

Every half year that passes after you acquire your university entrance qualification and you are not enrolled at a university in Germany is automatically counted as a waiting semester. In principle, a maximum of seven waiting semesters will be considered. The study places are awarded in order, starting with the applicants with the most waiting semesters. The grades of the university entrance qualification do not play a role here.
