Problems in third-party-funded projects

For various reasons, problems can arise in third-party-funded projects.

Funding gaps occur when expenses are incurred in research projects that cannot be financed by the money provided by the third-party funder.

Delays in the recruitment of personnel

Qualified personnel cannot always be recruited and hired in time for the start of funding.
It is usually possible to request a cost-neutral extension in this case to compensate for the lost project time. Coordinate this with the funding agency or project management agency in a timely manner.
