Studies at the time the scholarship would start (winter semester 2026/27)

A subject-related semester is a half study year you complete in a particular degree program. It indicates how long you have been studying this subject. Only the semesters in your current degree program are counted; semesters in other degree programs are not taken into account.
Please refer to the following winter semester for which you are receiving a scholarship, not the current summer semester.
All semesters in which you were enrolled at a university count as university semesters – regardless of which degree program or which university you studied at.

Primary criteria

Once you have submitted this form, please upload the corresponding grade documents via the upload link that we will send you in the confirmation email.
The grades will be calculated by the University of Hohenheim.

For new students and students in their 1st semester
  • the average grade of your university entrance qualification (or equivalent foreign certificate)
  • the grades relevant to the respective degree program subject according to the program’s admission regulations, or the grades in the subjects math and the first foreign language if no individual grades are required in the admission regulations.
For students in the 2nd or higher semester and starting with the 2nd Master’s semester
  • weighted selection grade: all modules for semesters completed up to the application date. The determining factor for assigning modules to semesters is the date of the examination. The weighted selection grade of all modules is calculated by the mathematical average of the grades of all modules weighted by the number of credit points for the module.
For Master’s students in the 1st semester
  • the average grade of the Bachelor’s degree.
