Special award from the state for outstanding student involvement

Student groups - in the reasons, it should be stated which person started the initiative and which contributions the other persons nominated made.
Nomination rightsThe University of Hohenheim may submit one nomination. The decision is made by the Senate upon the suggestion of the Senate Commission for Teaching. Candidates may be nominated by the departmental student representatives and the commissions for study affairs.
Amount of award:5,000€ (indivisible) to promote student needs at the University according to the decision of the award-winner.
Frequency of award:Every other year in the same cycle as the state teaching award
Criteria for award (not final)
  • exemplary student involvement that directly benefits other students and/or society;
  • both the particular scope of an individual project as well as commendable, continual involvement can be honored;
  • student engagement in the form of committee work or attendance at meetings cannot be awarded on its own;
  • collaboration in working groups that can be differentiated from regular committee work can be proposed for the special award
