Abstract

Summary

This article discusses food safety and provision of pork in the Russian Federation; rapid development of domestic pig and pork production as well as trade relations with countries exporting pork and live pigs. Calculations on availability of pork, shares of the leading companies in the Russian market and a map of pig population in the Russian regions is provided.
