Abstract

Reaction of 2-chloro-1,3-dimethyl-1,3,2-diazaborolidine with O2S(NMeSiMe3)2 (I) gave 45% O2S(NMeBRR1)2 (RR1 = 1,3-dimethyl-1,3,2-diazaborolidin-2-yl), whereas reaction of I with (Me2N)2BCl gave dithiatetraazadiborocine (II). Similarly, borylation of Me2S(O):NSiMe3 with (Me2N)2BCl gave B(NMe2)3, [Me2S(O):N]2BNMe2, and [Me2S(O):N]3B, whereas borylation of R2R3S(:NSiMe3)2 [R2R3 = (CH2)4] with (Me2N)2BCl gave B(NMe2)3 and dithiatetraazadiborocine (III). The synthesis of monoborylated sulfonimines, Me2S(O)NBRR1 (R = R1 = Et, RR1 = CH2CHMeCH2CH2), and the sulfone diimines, HN:SMe2:NBMe2 and Me3SiN:SR2R3:NBRR1 [RR1 = CH2CHMeCH2CH2, R2R3 = (CH2)4] was also described.
