Abstract

In a globalized world, as we live in today, corporate training oftentimes takes place online. These online learning environments can be personalized for cultural groups to reach better learning outcomes. This paper examines dimensions for cultural personalization evaluating corporate trainings with Chinese learners. It thus relies on Design-Based Research to develop a toolbox along cultural dimensions and aspects of personalization. The aim is to help trainers to adapt trainings to the Chinese target group with the focus lying on the didactic aspect of how to transfer content to achieve optimal learning outcomes.
