Description

Durum is not winter hard due to his evolution in South Europe and North Africa. The development of winter hard durum could largely increase yield in large part of Europe. Thus, our aim is to unravel the genetic architecture of winter hardiness and quality traits in durum. Therefore, we phenotype 384 durum lines with variable winter hardiness in multiple locations. Furthermore, high density genotyping and resequencing at FR2 locus is applied. Data is finally analysed by genome wide association mapping approaches.
