Mobility of (young) scientists

Promoting the international mobility of (young) scientists is an important prerequisite for cooperation with universities and research institutions abroad.

Many institutions and foundations, as well as the University of Hohenheim, support research stays and lecturing positions of doctoral students, post-doctoral students, and professors abroad and at the University of Hohenheim.

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is worldwide the biggest funding organization for international exchange. Baden-Württemberg as well as various foundations also offer scholarships for  researcher mobility. Furthermore, there are funding programs of the EU for the mobility of university staff in the framework of Erasmus+.

The Office of International Affairs offers further information about researcher mobility and will gladly answer any questions. Current calls for applications are published in the News section.

Further information:

  • The Department Research Promotion publishes funding possibilities for international research projects in the funding dispatch.
  • Funding possibilities for foreign doctoral students can be found in the Doctorate Portal.
