Information systems specialists work in companies in all industries that use information and communication technology in their business processes. There, they are involved in the analysis as well as the planning, implementation, and maintenance of these socio-technological systems, i.e. they deal with the interrelationships among people, companies, and technologies. In particular, issues of digital transformation, the use of artificial intelligence, and data analytics could be part of your future profession.

This may include, for example, the following activities:

  • Requirements and structure analyses for operational application systems and information and communication technology
  • System analysis and development
  • System administration
  • Modeling of business processes and information systems
  • IT project management
  • Digital transformation
  • IT consulting or in-house consultant, for example in the field of artificial intelligence
  • Software development and architecture of IT systems
  • AI model development
  • Data science

In addition, thanks to its scientifically based orientation, the program qualifies you for research activities in the field of information and communication technologies. By supporting particularly talented students in the fast-track doctoral program, a direct path to science is even prepared for you if you have an aptitude for research and use your potential.
