What do I have to do?
1st
- Now: No German or TestDaF->no test, see 2. All other students new to Hohenheim must do a German placement or C-test in the Mediothek (Euroforum) - even if you have other language certificates such as B1 Goethe certificate. The test is under 30 minutes and free; no appointment is necessary.
- Test result unexpected? If your score is too high or low for your level or chosen course, we may review it with a writing task in our consultation sessions (see 3.).
- During test: Do not use any tools, such as dictionaries; otherwise your result will not reflect your true ability and you may struggle in your course or need consultation.
- Preparation for test: consult our homepage for a mock exam and familiarise yourself with the test format at the link.
No German – no placement test: If you have never learned German or know very little, simply register online for A1.1. No test is necessary
