Gips Schüle Research Award and Klaus Koeppen Award for Social Innovation

The Gips Schüle Research Award honors and supports outstanding performance in applied research in the area of “People and Technology.” Relevant areas can include health, environment, mobility, and housing.

Nomination rightsNomination by a person not directly involved in the research project (e.g. university deans, institute directors, or board members)
Frequency of awardannually
Applicants:Public and private research institutions such as universities, research institutions, or businesses located in Baden-Württemberg.
RequirementIf the research projects are completed, they may not have been completed more than 2 years before submitting the application.
Amount of award
  • Gips Schüle Research Award: € 50,000
  • Klaus Koeppen Prize for Social Innovation: € 15,000
Application deadlineThe next award ceremony will take place in 2021.
