Enrollment Doctorate

As soon as you have been accepted as a doctoral candidate by the respective faculty, you are required to enroll.

A special regulation applies to all doctoral candidates who are employed at the University of Hohenheim with at least 50% of full-time working hours. They must submit a written declaration to the Hohenheim Graduate Academy if they do not wish to enroll (Sec. 38(5)). Please submit an informal written statement with your original signature together with a copy of your employment agreement to the Graduate Academy (doctorate@uni-hohenheim.de).

Doctoral candidates in the doctoral study program of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences must also be enrolled in order to be able to register for the examinations.

Instructions for carrying out online enrollment at the University of Hohenheim for doctoral studies

To enroll as a doctoral candidate at the University of Hohenheim, please apply for enrollment online. You can apply for enrollment at the University of Hohenheim at any time.

In order to carry out online enrollment at the University of Hohenheim, you must be have been accepted as a doctoral candidate by a Hohenheim faculty.
 

  1. Open the HohCampus application portal of the University of Hohenheim https://hohcampus.verw.uni-hohenheim.de
     (switch to the English interface if you would prefer).If you do not have an account yet or if it is inactive because your exmatriculation was more than 4 weeks ago, please complete the registration.
    If you already have an account as an employee, please contact the HohCampus Support via hohcampus-support@uni-hohenheim.de so that an account can be created for you as a doctoral candidate and you can then register.
     

     
  2. After successful registration, log in to HohCampus with your user ID and password.
     

     
  3. Select the “Studies offered” tab and then “Online application”.
  4. Decide whether you want to enable email notifications or not.
  5. If not preset, select the current semester as the application semester and then click "Start application".
  6. Then click on “Add an application”.
     

     
  7. Select your program and then click on “Save and continue”. (The 1st semester is always shown here, it will be corrected if necessary.)
     


  8. Enter the admission code and click "Save and continue".
    The admission code is: Prom-imm



  9. Confirm that your information is correct and click on "Submit request". You will be automatically redirected to online enrollment.
     


  10. To complete online enrollment, follow the information displayed. If you did not obtain your Master's degree at the University of Hohenheim, please indicate your previous degree program in “Information about Your First Enrollment" as well as in the tab “Completed Degrees". 
  11. Send the signed application for enrollment to the Graduate Academy by internal mail or post (Universität Hohenheim, Graduiertenakademie (799), 70593 Stuttgartt).
