Data protection information on notification of third-party funds

Content and purpose of data collection

The University will process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Recording and processing notifications of third-party funds
  • Creating reports and analyses according to Sec. 41a LHG

For information in forms that are marked as mandatory, there is a requirement to submit the information in the State Higher Education Act (Landeshochschulgesetz) in conjunction with the state’s Guidelines on Third-Party Funding. Information that is marked as voluntary is not required.

If you do not enter data in the mandatory fields, we cannot complete the process. Leaving out voluntary data only means that this information cannot be used in processing, which could lead to delays.
If you do not agree to publication, the information will not be published. There is no consequence other than the information not being published.

Legal basis for processing your personal data

Processing your personal data is based on the following legal provision(s):

  • The notification of third-party funds is processed based on Sec. 13(1 and 6) and Sec. 41(1) LHG in conjunction with the state’s Guidelines on Third-Party Funding.
  • The project register is based on Sec. 41a LHG.
  • Voluntary information is processed based on your consent

Transferring personal data and location of processing

We can transfer your personal data to the following recipients / recipient groups:

  • Report recipients according to Sec. 41a LHG
  • The public if you agree to publication

Duration for which data is saved

Your personal data will be saved for the following period / deleted at the following point in time:

  • 10 years after the stated end of the project

Right to revoke consent, receive information, correct information, and complain

You can revoke your consent in whole or in part at any time for the future. In this case, we will delete the data in the system that we processed based on your consent.

You have the right to receive information about the processing of your personal data, to correct or delete the data, or to restrict the processing.

You have the right to data portability.

You have the right to object to your personal data being processed.

You have the right to lodge a complaint against the processing of your personal data with the Baden-Württemberg State Data Protection Officer.
