BEST training

The training for vocational and university orientation (BErufs- und STudienorientierung), for short BEST - is a two-day training for decision-making on the topic of vocational and university orientation for students at general and vocational Gymnasien in Baden-Württemberg.
It is supported by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science.

The trainer team is made up of a teacher and a student counsellor or advisor from the Employment Agency who carry out the trainings together.

Contents

The BEST training includes:

  • discovering your own interests, abilities, and values (1st day of training)
  • getting to know the universities in Baden-Württemberg and the possibilities for informing yourself independently about offers for studying (2nd day of training)

Between the training days the participants will also complete an orientation test, a grade analysis, and an external assessment (interval phase).

This is then put together in a portfolio, documented, and results in a plan of action.
