Project management agency

Project management agencies organize and manage the funding of projects on behalf of the funding agency.

In Germany, project management agencies are commercial companies or public institutions (or departments thereof) that organize and manage the funding of projects. Their clients are mainly ministries at federal and state level, but also foundations under private or public law.

If a project management agency is involved in the funding, they are the contact for the funding recipient from the submission of the application to the project implementation. They should therefore be informed and involved in all significant events or in the event of changes and problems in the course of the project.
