DFG - Advising

Information on the application process and funding formats can be found in the DFG - Application and Funding Formats section.

Individual support

We will be happy to assist you with your application for individual funding and to read and review your draft applications.

The department directors of the applicant’s former supervisor should assist with applications for temporary positions for principal investigators.
In addition, you can get support from the DFG liaison officer.

Informational events

The DFG Lunch is held twice a year.

At these events, you can get current tips and general information on the topic of DFG grant applications, with competent support from experienced applicants and DFG reviewers at the University of Hohenheim.

You can find the upcoming events under "News."

Coordinated programs

DFG Collaborative Research Centers, Research Training Groups, and Research Groups are projects of strategic importance to the University.

Therefore, as you develop your plans, you will receive special support from the President's Office and the various support structures at UHOH. The Research Support Department will be happy to assist you with coordination.
Please get in touch with us at an early point in time!

DFG liaison officers

The DFG asks applicants to inform their institution’s DFG liaison officer about the application.

The liaison officer acts as a local contact person for those applying for DFG funding. The tasks include advising

  • on the various funding opportunities offered by the DFG,
  • on the application process, especially for first-time applicants,
  • in cases of doubt. These questions may come up not only at the time the proposal is submitted, but may also arise as the Head Office processes the applications or even after the DFG committees have made their decision.
