PCB 2019 in the Palace

In spring 2019 an expert laboratory confirmed: There are high concentrations of PCBs in the grout of an expansion joint across the Brand wing of the Palace. PCB is a hazardous substance that evaporates into the room air. Therefore, the Occupational Safety Expert decided to close the affected rooms.

The University of Hohenheim then had further suspicious joints mapped, samples taken, and room air measurements commissioned, which will gradually be extended to other campus buildings.
