Abstract

Plant oil is a promising alternative energy resource and can be used as household energy, for instance as cooking fuel. During the operation of plant oil pressure stoves deposits were formed in the vaporizer in analogy to the deposits in diesel engines. The effect of phosphor content and the degree of unsaturation of fatty acids of plant oils were investigated. The resi-dues which were formed in the vaporizer correlate closely with the phosphor content in the plant oil. In addition there was an influence of the degree of unsaturation of plant oils and the formation of residues.
