Abstract

Multivariable greenhouse climate control is presented. The greenhouse environment is described using a dynamic nonlinear model in state equation form incorporating carbon dioxide concentration, ambient air temperature and humidity concentration. The use of a dynamic linear input/output decoupling controller is described and simulation results are illustrated. The advantages of applying the specific control technique are highlighted as it does not only achieve input/output decoupling but also decreases significantly the settling time of all state variables maintaining control input constraints.
