Description

Objective of subproject B3.2 is to optimize irrigated fruit tree production based on exploitation of plant response to moderate drought stress and nutrient deficiency (Zn, B). Interactions of stress response signals will be identified using sensor fusion methodology. It will be determined whether moderate drought stress and nutrient deficiency during certain phenological phases can be beneficial for flower induction and yield formation. The role of micronutrients (Zn, B) in fruit quality development will be investigated. Findings will be validated in farmers’ fields at different locations using a participatory approach.
