Description

No-till seeders target at placing seeds into unprepared soils. The machine has to cope with compacted soils as well as high amount of organic plant residues mainly concentrated on the soil surface. These conditions are heterogeneously distributed across the field and hence, the machine has to adapt to dynamic kinematics and to be able to open the soil and incorporate seeds at a particular depth.

Machine dynamics as displacements, tilting and accellerations have to be measured and modeled. Subsequent simulations will use the modeled inputs to assess the seeder behaviors for varied mechanical designs.

The aim of the project is to optimise a seeder for better seed placement under realistic high capacity performances.
