HyFlexFuel

HyFlexFuel aims to advance the technical maturity of the sustainable production of renewable drop-in fuels through hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) of various types of biogenic feedstock. The advantages of HTL are reflected in its high feedstock versatility, its ability to convert wet materials and its favorable environmental and economic performance. The yielded primary HTL product bio-crude can be upgraded to high-quality fuels. HyFlexFuel addresses the entire production chain, from feedstock supply and HTL conversion over bio-crude upgrading and testing of the produced fuels to valorization of residual process streams, e.g in the form of combustible gases and marketable fertilizers.
