Diverse and interesting career possibilities

You’ve had enough studying and want to finally start your career and earn your own money? With a Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Science, there are various entry-level opportunities, depending on your personal focus during your studies through electives, internships, and additional qualifications.

Nutritionists can be very versatile. Scientific work is in demand in the area of research and development. Therefore, they are often involved in planning, coordinating, conducting, and evaluating scientific studies. At the same time, the work can vary greatly: for example, the effect of a food ingredient on individual cells or animals can be studied in the laboratory. Human studies can be used to investigate factors influencing people's dietary behavior as well as influences of dietary patterns on the development of diseases such as diabetes mellitus or cardiovascular diseases.

Nutritionists are also fundamentally involved in communicating study results in a way that both the public and professionals can understand. As a specialist journalist, they produce specialist literature for scientists based on the results of studies. In addition, the study results can also be used to market products. In the context of nutritional counseling, nutritionists provide direct support to patients with nutrition-related diseases, such as food intolerances and metabolic disorders, to maintain or even improve their health.

We envision you in the following positions and activities, to name a few examples:
