| Applicants: | An excellent Master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation written on this topic at the University of Hohenheim in the award period (the last twelve months) will be given the award. |

| Criteria: | Criteria for the evaluation are in particular the innovative research idea and its successful methodological implementation, the application to the practice with clearly defined and realistic options for action, and a presentation. |

| Nomination rights: | All lecturers of the University of Hohenheim may nominate candidates. |

| Selection procedure: | The selection of the award-winners is done on the basis of the aforementioned criteria as well as the submitted review. (Up to) two of the best works are selected, from which the President of the foundation selects the award-winners. Please submit your application with a cover letter from the candidate (1 page), a short review from the supervisor (form), and a PDF of the thesis to the Institute of Agricultural Sciences in the Tropics (Ms. Zipp) by 1 May 2026.
