Welcome to the Life Science fair

Welcome from the President of the University of Hohenheim

Dear students, doctoral candidates, and graduates,

In your studies, you have acquired theoretical and practical knowledge related to your degree program and have become experts in your field. In addition to specialist knowledge, the social, methodological, and organizational skills you have acquired in the preceding semesters should not be underestimated. Now the question for many of you is what to do after you graduate.

The Life Science 2026 career fair offers you a way to get oriented on your career path. Touch base with employers, find out about internships, trainee programs, and job profiles. Use the discussions to explore career prospects, ask about entry opportunities, and socialize. Networks that are created here can smooth the path into the world of work.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the CareerCenter Hohenheim for organizing the fair; it has once again put together an extensive program this year and has been able to attract a large number of companies. In addition to talks and information forums on the agricultural sciences on Tuesday, 19 May, and natural sciences on Wednesday, 20 May, the program includes job application training and a job application document check.

I wish you stimulating discussions, many new discoveries, and successful contacts. Seize the opportunity to actively shape your future. Good luck and have an inspiring career fair!

Sincerely,

Prof. Dr. Christoph Schneider

President

Welcome from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences

Dear students,

The University of Hohenheim’s CareerCenter is organizing the Life Science career fair again this year! The event offers you an exceptional opportunity to connect with potential employers early in your studies.

I would like to invite you to take advantage of this opportunity and find out what requirements the various companies place on university graduates, but also what opportunities and prospects individual companies offer. As a graduate of an agricultural science, natural science, communication science, business, or economics program, many different occupational fields are open to you.

Find out in good time which additional qualifications – in addition to your special expertise – make you interesting for certain companies and what you and your qualifications can offer a company. This can be particularly valuable in light of the current tense political and economic situation.

The amendments to the Animal and Plant Protection Act, but also the increasing digitalization in the field of agricultural engineering and new production processes up to and including “big data management” pose great challenges to companies and consulting services. Take advantage of the good education you enjoy at Hohenheim to successfully prepare your future entry into professional life by making contact with potential employers at the Life Science Career Fair!

I hope you have an exciting and insightful event!

Sincerely,

Prof. Dr. Ralf Vögele

Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences

Welcome from the Faculty of Natural Sciences

Dear Faculty of Natural Sciences students,

Dear students,

Welcome to “Life Science 2026,” the career fair organized by our CareerCenter! This year, we are once again hosting numerous renowned companies that are directly related to our faculty's degree programs.

Whether you are still in the middle of your studies and want to find out about possible fields of specialization or are already looking for potential employers – take advantage of this unique opportunity to talk to representatives from the life sciences industry directly on campus.

Explore the wide range of career opportunities in the life sciences, talk shop with companies at the exhibition stands, take part in informative forums, and get an overview of current job vacancies. Be curious, ask questions, and discover what exciting prospects are open to you. A comprehensive advising service – including an application document check – is available to you.

I wish you insightful discussions, hope you forge valuable contacts, and an inspiring Life Science 2026.

Sincerely,

Prof. Dr. Jan Frank

Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences
