Contact details and contact persons

When you register for an examination, you specify the area to which the module is to be assigned.

It is only possible to change the assignment at a later date as part of an official module exchange.

Procedure

Whether and how often it is possible to change the assignment of modules (module exchange) is regulated in your examination regulations, but you will also find this information on the request form.

The request must be submitted at the latest before the transcript of records is issued.

You can request the module exchange by email. If you would like to exchange more than one module, please use the module exchange form.

A request for a module exchange is no longer possible if you have failed the final attempt at the examination in the corresponding module.

If you exchange a module, then the modules whose examination has not been completed is assigned to the “additional modules” category. Unlike modules that are part of the degree program, these do not have to be completed.

Special case for Master’s degree programs: Modules with exams that can be repeated an unlimited number of times

If you do not wish to complete a module for which the module examination can be repeated indefinitely, you can inform the Examinations Office by email. The module is then assigned to the additional modules outside of the module exchange process.

Special case for the Bachelor’s degree program in Communication Science

Module exchanges are generally not possible. In exceptional cases, a module exchange can be requested from the examination board.
