ECTS

The European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) is a system for the recognition, transfer and accumulation of credits, that was developed by European universities, focusing on the individual student (= learning-oriented system), being based on the workload that is to be completed in order to achieve the goals of the program.

The workload of a full-time student during one academic year corresponds to 60 ECTS. 1 credit corresponds to a workload of 30 hours. ECTS points are not automatically acknowledged, when changing university, they just serve the transparency regarding the study achievements.
