Football Cup

Here's how to participate:

• Participation is limited to 10 teams.
• Only students and staff of the University of Hohenheim can participate
• Games are played at the university stadium every Wednesday from 5 - 7 p.m.
• A team consists of 7 field players + goalkeeper
• At least 12 (maximum 15) players per team must be registered by name with their matriculation number (or institute number in the case of staff).
• Each player can only play for one team in the round (roster with max. 15 players).
• During the game round, a maximum of 3 players may be changed on the field.
• The entry fee is € 20.

Registration

Registration is possible at the beginning of the summer semester online via our homepage or in person at the sports office.

1. Fun

Fun is more important than all the rules!!! This may not be lost sight of in any competitive situation. Respectful behavior toward everyone involved is the basic requirement for participation in the Hohenheim Football Cup. Despite competition, the game should be characterized by fairness, honesty, and fun.

2. Team

• Teams are made up of 7 field players and a goalkeeper.
• Each player must be a member (student or employee) of the University of Hohenheim and may only play on one team.

3. Rules and Particularities

The rules of the WFV for football small field tournaments apply with the following exceptions:

• The matches are played on small fields.
• The length of the matches are 2 x 15 minutes.
• Players may be substituted as often as desired. Substitutions must be done at the center line of the field. The player entering the game may only step onto the playing field once the player leaving the game has stepped off.
• The back pass rule applies, that is, the goalkeeper may not pick up a back pass with his hands.
• The offside rule does not apply.
• All free kicks must be indirect.
• There are no referees, that is, the participating teams must ensure that they play fairly and that there are no arguments.
