DoSV - Dialog-oriented service procedure

The so-called “dialog-oriented service procedure” supports the universities in their admission procedures by comparing admission offers. In a common database, the universities are networked with them Foundation for University Admissions. In this database, the ranking lists for all participating universities are put together and compared with one another.

Applicants who accept a university spot are automatically deleted from all other ranking lists. Available spots can then be immediately re-allocated to the next applicant on the ranking list. If you receive an admission offer for an application with a higher priority, an existing admission offer for an application with a lower priority will be automatically deleted. Therefore it is very important that you prioritize your applications in the DoSV!
We recommend that you prioritize your applications by 22 July at the latest.

Priorities are set in the DoSV application portal at www.hochschulstart.de.

The University of Hohenheim participates in the DoSV with all Bachelor’s programs that have a limited number of spots:

  • Biology
  • Communication Science
  • Digital Business Management
  • Education for Business and Economics
  • Information Systems
  • Nutritional Science
  • Sustainability & Change

Applicants must register at www.hochschulstart.de before filling out the online application.
The application is then completed and submitted using the University of Hohenheim’s application portal.

If you receive an admission offer, you can accept it at www.hochschulstart.de. You will then receive the notification of admission including the deadline for enrollment in the University of Hohenheim’s application portal.
