FAQ

No, since the winter semester 2022/23 no additional application via uni-assist is necessary. German citizens must then have their certificates recognized in advance by the office responsible for them. If you reside in Baden-Württemberg or abroad, the Stuttgart Regional Council (Regierungspräsidium) is responsible.

Your university entrance qualification (as well as other evidence such as internships, work experience, etc.) must be uploaded to the HohCampus application portal in the original language and additionally, if the original language is not German or English, in a German or English translation.

The translation must have been done by a person or institution authorized to do a sworn or court-approved translation (in Germany or abroad).

If your certificate does not entitle you to start studying in Germany directly, you can attend a one-year Studienkolleg. It is concluded with an assessment test (Feststellungsprüfung), with which you can then apply to study in Germany.
