International Students Organisation (ISO)

ISO stands for "International Students Organisation," a group of students who want to help you to settle into Germany. Most of the ISO members have already been abroad for at least one term, so they know how it feels to be in a foreign country.

ISO offers many opportunities to get to know the country and its people and to make contacts with other students, both German and international, by arranging among other things:

  • day trips (i.e. city tours, excursions to factories etc.)
  • "International Culture Nights" where foreign students give insights into their country and culture
  • language tandems, which not only help you to improve your language knowledge but also offer you the chance to give another student an understanding of your language and culture
  • the ISO Meet'n'Drink

Buddy Program

During the first days in Hohenheim there are a lot of things to arrange. To help you in these first weeks, ISO offers the Buddy Program. A Buddy is a Hohenheim student who offers help and advice to a small group of foreign students studying the same subject. He or she helps you to find your way around the campus, with important formalities and other ongoing questions. Participation in this program is free and it's up to you how much help you would like to receive from your buddy.

If you have any questions, feel free to send an e-mail or go to the ISO homepage!
