President holds Zoom meeting (8 Feb)

Online Teaching  [01.02.21]

Covid-19 Semester III is just around the corner. The Hohenheim Senate will decide on the key points for the 2021 summer semester at its meeting next Wednesday. There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the monthly Zoom meeting with the President on Monday, February 8. Guest: Prof. Dr. Korinna Huber, Vice President of Academic Affairs. The third edition of the "Hohenheim live" series will also offer a live English summary of the main points discussed so international students and staff can participate in the exchange and discussion on the topic of online teaching. All students and employees are cordially invited to attend. Registration via the F.I.T. platform is now open.

In spring 2020, things had to move fast. Digital formats were introduced across the board to keep teaching up to date in the first place. Now, the third Covid-19 semester is already upon us.

That means it's time for an initial interim assessment: How well has it worked so far? Where are there problems? What can we do even better in the summer semester? What does good online teaching actually mean? And: What should teaching ideally look like after Covid-19?

The next edition of the virtual event series "Hohenheim live" on the topic of online teaching with University President Prof. Dr. Stephan Dabbert and Vice President Prof. Dr. Korinna Huber will provide enough topics for discussion.

In particular, the event will also provide an opportunity to ask specific questions about the regulations for the upcoming summer semester, which will be adopted by the Senate next Wednesday.

The event is also suitable for English-speaking participants. An interpreter will summarize key points during the discussion, which can be viewed as subtitles.
