Agroecology, Climate Resilience, and Indigenous and Underutilised Crops: Rethinking Value Chains for Sustainable Food Futures

This international symposium brings together researchers from Southern Africa and Germany to explore how indigenous and underutilised crops can contribute to climate-resilient and sustainable food systems

The event provides a platform for scientific exchange, critical discussion, and the development of joint research ideas across disciplines and regions.
Over three days, the symposium combines keynote lectures, scientific sessions, interactive poster presentations, and field visits. A strong focus is placed on early-career researchers and on building long-term research collaboration between Southern African and German institutions.
