Mit Hohenheimer Beteiligung strebt das EU-Projekt "Doctorate Challenge Based Education for Sustainable Transformation - DOC BEST" die Transformierung der europäischen Promovierendenqualifizierung an. Ziele von DOC BEST sind:

  • Entwicklung eines europäischen Rahmens für die Promotion, um eine neue Generation von Wissenschaftler:innen auszubilden, die sich der Bewältigung der Herausforderungen im Bereich nachhaltiger Agrar- und Ernährungssysteme sowie des Umweltschutzes verschrieben hat;

DOC BEST is a European Erasmus+ project bringing together 8 ELLS universities dedicated to advancing doctoral studies in the agrifood sector.

EVENT #1 - Reviewing Doctoral Programs in Agriculture, Food and Environment: Key Findings & Institutional Insights (18th September, in Viterbo, Italy and Webinar). Presentation of analyses about Doctoral Education at European Universities (Structure, Challenges and Opportunities) and future research topics.

EVENT #2 - Survey Results & Future Research Priorities addressing Societal Challenges in the Agrifood sector (25th September, Webinar). We have analyzed 215 responses from across our network. This webinar aims to share the results of this analysis, validate the major trends identified and to hear your thoughts on these initial findings/trends. This is an iterative process (survey, webinars and presential exchanges), and your expertise is essential to help us/our network refine these findings before our final Foresight Workshop in Montpellier on November 4th.

EVENT #3- Foresight Workshop (4th November in Montpellier, France). After a successful survey and webinars, this workshop is the final step to discuss the research priorities for doctoral programs. It is thus essential to join us to share your views, discuss the results, and help us align our future doctoral training with key global challenges!

We count on your participation to:

  • Get inclusive insights into the results and first trends in doctoral programs, co-tutelle development and innovative and integrative research topics for applying to European calls.
  • Contribute to the iterative discussion for shaping future doctoral research programs.
