Hinweis: Das Akademische Auslandsamt der Universität Hohenheim empfiehlt einen Auslandsaufenthalt (vereinbarte physische Mobilität) nicht anzutreten, wenn Reisewarnungen der zuständigen Behörden in Deutschland und ggf. des Heimatlandes für das Zielland bzw. -region, Einschränkungen im internationalen Luft- und Reiseverkehr, Einreisebeschränkungen, Quarantänemaßnahmen und/oder Beeinträchtigungen des öffentlichen Lebens (z.B. Ausgangssperren) im Zielland bzw. -region bestehen.
Das Akademische Auslandsamt der Universität Hohenheim empfiehlt des Weiteren Reise- und Sicherheitshinweise der zuständigen Behörden in Deutschland (Auswärtiges Amt) und ggf. des Heimatlandes sowie des Ziellandes unbedingt zu beachten und zu befolgen.
Der/Die Teilnehmende absolviert eine Mobilität zu jeder Zeit auf eigene Verantwortung und eigene Kosten sowie unter Kenntnisnahme der oben beschriebenen Empfehlungen des Akademischen Auslandsamtes der Universität Hohenheim.

- Nachweis der Sprachkenntnisse (Online-Formular mit pdf-Uplaod): gültiger Sprachnachweis in der Hauptunterrichtssprache (mind. B2 Niveau); ggf. auch gültiger Sprachnachweis in einer weiteren Unterrichtssprache bzw. Landessprache. Bitte beachten Sie die Mindestvorgaben für Austauschstudierende der Gasthochschulen bei Sprachkenntnissen und deren Nachweise in der Liste der Partnerhochschulen in Asien, Südamerika, Afrika, Mexiko und Neuseeland - 2024/25 (Angaben ohne Gewähr). Außerdem muss der Sprachnachweis zum Zeitpunkt der Bewerbung an der Gasteinrichtung noch gültig sein. Sollte die Gültigkeit auf dem Nachweis nicht explizit ausgewiesen sein, gilt der Sprachnachweis maximal zwei Jahre.
Hinweis: Sprachnachweise, die in der Liste der Partnerhochschulen nicht genannt sind, werden für die Bewerbung nicht akzeptiert!

- ACHTUNG: Ein Empfehlungsschreiben soll neben Ihren Studienleistungen vor allem Auskunft über Ihre akademischen Fähigkeiten und Ihre Persönlichkeit geben. Empfehlungsschreiben sind daher nur sinnvoll, wenn eine Hochschullehrkraft diese auch einschätzen kann.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass der Nachweis der notwendigen Sprachkenntnisse in der Hauptunterrichtssprache (und ggf. der Landessprache, abhängig von der Partnerhochschule) eine Grundvoraussetzung für eine Bewerbung darstellt und kein Auswahlkriterium. Bewerbung über Mobility-Online:
Sie können sich ausschließlich online über Mobility-Online (Unterprogramm "Programme Gruppe B") bewerben. Das Portal ist ab dem 27.12.2023 zur Bewerbung freigeschalten. Zuerst müssen Sie sich registrieren, um eine neue Bewerbung anzulegen. Diesen Schritt müssen Sie auch ausführen, wenn Sie sich zu einem früheren Zeitpunkt bereits über Mobility-Online beworben haben. Anschließend füllen Sie das Bewerbungsformular aus. Nachdem Sie das Bewerbungsformular ausgefüllt haben, laden Sie bitte alle erforderlichen Dokumente (s. Bewerbungsunterlagen) hoch. Wenn Sie alle benötigten Unterlagen hochgeladen bzw. die entsprechenden Angaben gemacht haben, können Sie die Bewerbung einreichen. Nur vollständige und fristgerecht eingereichte Bewerbungen werden in das Auswahlverfahren aufgenommen. Das Nachreichen von Unterlagen ist nicht möglich.

You are interested in a stay abroad in Asia, South America, Africa, Mexico or New Zealand?
You can apply for an exchange semester in the academic year 2024/25 via Mobility-Online (Unterprogramm "Programme Gruppe B") by December 27, 2023. For information on partner universities, see the list of partner universities in Asia, South America, Africa, Mexico and New Zealand.
Target Group:
All students of the University of Hohenheim who finished their basic studies (3rd semester in the Bachelor and above).
Purpose of the program:
The exchange programs are intended to provide students with the opportunity to study abroad at a partner university in Asia, South America, Africa, Mexico and New Zealand.
Benefits:
Exchange place (max. 2 semesters) at one of the partner universities in Asia, South America, Africa, Mexico or New Zealand (stays in the AY 24/25)
Note: The Office of International Affairs of the University of Hohenheim recommends not to start a stay abroad as part of a study at the University of Hohenheim if there are travel warnings from the responsible authorities in Germany and, if applicable, the home country for the destination country or region, restrictions in international (air-) travel, entry restrictions, quarantine measures and/or impairments to public life (e.g. curfews) in the destination country or region.
The Office of International Affairs of the University of Hohenheim also recommends that the travel and security instructions issued by the relevant authorities in Germany (Federal Foreign Office) and, if applicable, in the home country and the country of destination, are to be observed and followed.
The participant completes the mobility at any time on their own responsibility and at their own expense and taking note of the recommendations of the Office of International Affairs of the University of Hohenheim described above.

For each preference stated, a letter of motivation (max. 2000 characters*) must be completed in Mobility-Online. If no letter of motivation is submitted for a preference stated, the application for the preference in question is considered incomplete, i.e. the preference stated will not be considered in the application process.

Green Mobility Staement
Green Mobility (max. 2000 characters*, continuous text - no letter form): How do you want to make your mobility greener and more sustainable and thereby contribute to the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement? How can you reduce the ecological footprint of your mobility and which contribution can you, through your mobility, make in the social change towards a sustainable society?
Civic Engagement Statement
Civic Engagement (max. 2000 characters*, continuous text - no letter form): How do you intend to contribute to promote mutual understanding and tolerance for a peaceful and open world community through civic engagement as part of your mobility (UN Convention on Human Rights)? *incl. blanks - CV (in tabular form, pdf-upload): max. 2 pages, including your academic and professional background, awards (if any), social and societal commitment, personal interests as well as other relevant information. The CV should be tailored to your stay abroad and should provide us with an accurate picture of you as a person.
- Transcript of Records in English (pdf-upload): download from "HohCampus"
- Copy of Bachelor Certificate (only for graduate students, pdf-upload): if available in English, not certified
- Language proficiency (online form and pdf-upload): valid language certificate in the main language of instruction (at least B2 level); if necessary, also valid language certificate in another language of instruction or national language. Please note the minimum requirements for exchange students of the host universities regarding language skills and proof of these as mentioned in the list of partner universities in Asia, South America, Africa, Mexico and New Zealand (information without guarantee). Furthermore, the language certificate must still be valid at the time of application at the host institution. If the validity is not explicitly stated on the certificate, the language certificate is valid for a maximum of two years.
Note: Language certificates that are not mentioned in the partner database will not be accepted for the application!
- Confidential Letter of Recommendation (online form and pdf-upload) of a Phd university teacher; Letter(s) of Recommendation are only mandatory if they are required (see list of partner universities; subject to change)
PLEASE NOTE: A recommendation letter should provide information about your academic record, as well as your academic abilities and personality. Letters of recommendation, therefore, only make sense if a university teacher can assess them.

Application procedure:
You can solely apply online via Mobility-Online (Unterprogramm "Programme Gruppe B"). The application portal is open as of December 27, 2023. First, you have to register to create a new application. You must also carry out this step if you have used Mobility Online before. Then fill in the application form. After completing the application form, please upload all the required documents (see “Application documents”). Once you have uploaded all the required documents and provided the relevant information, you can submit the application. Only applications that are complete and submitted in time will be considered in the selection procedure. You cannot submit your documents later.
Selection and Award Criteria:
The selection is made by the responsible committee. Following a successful selection process, the chosen candidates will be nominated at the respective partner university. The partner university decides on the final admission. The selection is made on basis of the application you submitted in time on Mobility-Online. Criteria for selection are mainly your professional and academic competence, as well as your professional and personal motivation for the planned stay abroad. Additional engagement is also taken into account. The places for a stay abroad will be selected according to a ranking of the mentioned criteria, in consideration of the requirements and conditions from the partner universities.
Requirements:
- You must be legally enrolled as degree-seeking student at the University of Hohenheim.
- At the start of the semester abroad, you must have completed the basic studies of your degree program.
In addition, please be aware, that the proof of the required language skills in the main language of instruction (and if necessary the national language, depending on the partner university) is a basic prerequisite for the application but not a selection criterion. The same applies to letters of recommendation, if these are required when applying at the host university (see list of partner universities, subject to change).
Obligations of Participants:
- Compliance with the respective program regulations (for example the submission of all required documents in time)
- Act as an ambassador of the University of Hohenheim at the partner university, as well as represent the respective partner university and exchange program at the University of Hohenheim
- Mandatory participation in events for exchange students
