Networking early career researchers

Receiving and discussing new ideas and suggestions, obtaining information, being present, making a name for oneself, having advocates and contacts, etc. - all of this is helpful for a successful career, whether in or outside of academia. Besides memberships in networks, there also needs to be a conscious decision for commitment, e.g. for committee work, reviews, etc., that drive forward networking on another level.
