Gender Equality

At the University of Hohenheim, gender equality is a key concern that covers all areas and enables special success through the organized collaboration of actors from all areas of the University. Based on the State Higher Education Act, gender equality policies at Hohenheim are geared towards both students and scientific staff.

The proportion of female professors at Hohenheim is significantly above the state average. Among the state's universities, Hohenheim and Tübingen lead the way in terms of gender equality. This is also confirmed in the most recent ranking of the "Competence Center Women in Science and Research" (CEWS). Its successful performance in the federal and state governments' Female Professor Program II (Professorinnenprogramm II) has enabled the University to invest addtional funds in innovative gender equality measures designed to continue and build on the success of its existing gender equality policies.
