Transfer platform

University of Hohenheim – a strong partner for innovation and transfer

Our guiding principle as a university is to be an active partner for technical, social, and economic innovations in business, politics, and society. Founded in 1818 after devastating famines, the University of Hohenheim is not only engaged in intensive basic research but has traditionally also been committed to developing innovative solutions for some of society's pressing problems. With our unique research and teaching profile, we aim to be the engine for scientific knowledge gain, progress, and sustainable transformations for the benefit of the general public.

Find out more about our background, our research focus and our award-winning range of courses on the Portrait of the University of Hohenheim page.

Our goal is to work together to shape society in a way that is

  • knowledge-based,
  • innovative, and
  • sustainable.

To this end, we want to be a research and high-performance center and a reliable partner with regional, national, and international networks. We also aim to actively promote the mutual exchange of science, business, politics, and society.

Our research opens up innovative possibilities for transfer activities that pave new paths for participation.

Transfer strategy

By transfer, we mean any kind of use, application, exploitation, or transmission of knowledge generated in science to the economy and society, including politics and administration.

Transfer services at the University of Hohenheim

There are many opportunities to work with the University of Hohenheim and its departments and experts. The Research Support Department is the central point of contact for all questions relating to knowledge and technology transfer – for members of the University of Hohenheim and anyone else interested in working with us.

We see ourselves as a mediator, translator, and catalyst between Hohenheim research and all external interested parties. Our work focuses on the goal of transferring research results into practice for the benefit of the general public.

Our transfer platform bundles all information and services that support the transfer between science and external actors.

  • External interested parties can look here to find the right contact persons or suitable transfer partners at the university.
  • Our scientists will find support here to ensure their transfer activities are safe, reliable, and legally compliant.

Hohenheim transfer fields

In order to effectively enable and support successful transfer, we have bundled our activities in the following transfer fields: Technology transfer, start-up support, science-business, science-society, cooperation, and networks.
