The University of Hohenheim's auditing student program is very popular in the city and region with numerous participants every semester. Interested persons, regardless of age, education, profession, and origin, can take part in courses at the University of Hohenheim and continue their education in an interdisciplinary manner in the spirit of lifelong learning.

What does it mean to be an auditing student?

Auditing students are persons who are not registered at the University of Hohenheim, i.e. are not members of the University of Hohenheim, but nevertheless regularly attend courses.

It is also possible to apply for a Hohenheim user account (e.g. for Internet access on campus).

What are the requirements and rules?

  • A university entrance qualification (e.g. Abitur) is not required.
  • There is no age limit.
  • Prerequisite for participation is sufficient space in the desired course.
  • It is not possible to take examinations.
  • It is not possible to prepare for a degree program by completing coursework and examinations and later having them recognized.

The auditing fee is € 75 per semester.

How do I become an auditing student?

Request for admission as an auditing student

The request for admission as an auditing student must be submitted before the lecture period (see semester dates).

Please note:

  • The application for admission is valid for one semester If you would like to register as an auditing student in the following semester or I later semester, please submit a new application.
  • Admission as an auditing student does not constitute a legal claim to participation in the selected courses.
