In our intensive German courses, you will experience the German language intensively and at the same time get to know the most beautiful campus in the state and one of the most important economic and cultural regions in Europe.
The focus is on language lessons in the morning (usually 4 teaching units (=UE) per day, a total of 60 UE), in which you work on the four central skills of reading, listening, speaking, and writing. This is complemented by a diverse supporting program: Among other things, we offer interesting excursions within Stuttgart and the region (e.g., Tübingen or Heidelberg), a welcome and graduation ceremony, an international evening, as well as many other activities on campus (scavenger hunt, campus tour, etc.). Another highlight is our range of seminars (six to eight lessons per course): In the March intensive course, the specialization will be on various aspects of communication, while in September we will focus on intercultural competence.
The three-and-a-half-week courses offer targeted preparation for studying at the University of Hohenheim and are primarily aimed at all international students at the University of Hohenheim (degree-seeking students and exchange students). Your subject area does not matter, as our intensive courses are general language courses. International doctoral candidates and staff members of the University of Hohenheim are also very welcome. Unfortunately, we can only consider external applicants if there are places available at short notice.
