Parking spots for the disabled, delivery vehicles, volunteer firefighters / emergency workers, special regulations for agricultural vehicles

For the negotiations with Parken BW, the University has already created suggestions for special parking spaces for the disabled and loading zones for delivery vehicles. The University also wants to bring up the situation of volunteer firefighters / emergency workers. Also in preparation: technical requirements for agricultural vehicles.

The loading zones and needs of tractors are based on a survey among the institutes. For the disabled parking spaces, the University is orienting its needs on existing parking spaces and the legal provisions.

The University has already communicated a part of the special requirements for agricultural vehicles. In October, Parken BW announced that it wanted to present a plan in 2018 for how it will take Hohenheim’s special requirements into consideration according to the timeline.

As the landlord, the state is responsible for parking spaces for staff who live on campus. On this point, the President and Chancellor want to get a statement from the State Agency for Property and Construction in a discussion at the beginning of November.

In its recommendations for allocating parking permits, the Senate Committee on Parking Space Management is also to consider the needs of the Horticultural School students and Student Services employees.
