Emergency childcare helps out: It takes care of all the University of Hohenheim’s members’ children starting in infancy
- when children can’t go to regular childcare.
- if there are special childcare needs due to particular business or study-related obligations.
By arrangement, up to three children of students or employees can be cared for in the University’s children’s room (Kinderzimmer) by the emergency childcare team from Mon-Fri between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. (max 2 x 4 hrs).
The emergency childcare is closed during the Hohenheim Campus Holidays.
The childcare in special situations was offered for the first time in 1998 to make it possible for parents to study, work, and research stress-free in the summer holidays. The offer is an important element of the initiative Family-Friendly University.
