Information about internships

Information Systems (B.Sc.)

The internship module can be taken by students of the following degree programs in the free elective area:

  • Business Administration and Economics
  • Communication Science (for students who began studying in winter semester 23/24 or later)
  • Digital Business Management
  • Sustainability & Change
  • Information Systems

Minimum duration of the internship

  • 5 weeks
  • The internship should not be interrupted and must be full-time (for an exception, see “Recognition of Work-Study Positions”).

Where should the internship take place

The company internship must be completed in an occupational field that corresponds to the focus of the degree program.

Approval by the Internship Office

Please have the internship approved by the Internship Office before you start!

Proof

To have your professional internship recognized, please submit the following documents to the Internship Office:

  • A written internship report. The report should be 5-10 pages in length and consist of three parts:
  1. Presentation of the company
  2. Description of your activities during the internship. In terms of content, that should make up the largest part of your report.
  3. Conclusion
  • A time confirmation/certificate

Recognition of work-study position

  • 5 weeks of the internship can be credited through a work-study position.
  • For this purpose, a working student activity over at least five months with at least 10 hours of working time per week must be proven.
