Getting involved

According to the study “Monitor Engagement,” published by the Federal Ministry for Family, Seniors, Women and Youth, more than 40% of students in Germany do volunteer work. At the University of Hohenheim, as well, you can get involved politically, culturally, or socially and actively shape life at the University.

The Fachschaft Agrar (Agricultural Student Council) gives us the opportunity to shape our study life and that of our fellow students in a positive way. Whether by organizing joint events, generally improving degree programs, or as an introduction to university political work. The Fachschaft offers you the opportunity to actively discover and develop your strengths and weaknesses in a group of individual students. Our experiences in the Fachschaft have had a positive influence on our personal development and have prepared us for our future (professional) life, regardless of whether we have been an active member, project manager, or board member.

Through the work in the Fachschaft you don't just get to know a lot of nice people. It also gives you the opportunity to actively participate in what's going on at the University, make decisions, and take responsibility. It is also a lot of fun to develop your personal skills and gain new experiences. And after the meetings everyone gets together in the Fachschaft room for a nice beer and chat about everything under the sun.

The Kreditwirtschaftliches Colloquium is the oldest and largest student association at the University of Hohenheim. Since its founding in 1985 by Professor von Stein, the Colloquium has developed into an interface between students and companies. Through numerous partnerships with various institutions, the association imparts theoretical and practical knowledge in the banking and stock exchange sectors. Due to the close connection to our institutional partners, the association paves the way for the students into a successful professional life. In addition to numerous activities, the KCH offers a close-knit team and a great club culture.

Club of Hohenheim e.V. CoH is a student association for international politics and economics at the University of Hohenheim. CoH was founded on 6 November 2001 with the aim of providing students at Stuttgart universities with a platform for discussing international topics from politics and business. Currently we consist of more than 65 members who participate in regular events such as the Hohenheimer Kreis, in cooperation with the German Society for the United Nations, or study trips. The biggest project, however, is the organization of an annually changing delegation, which takes part in the world's largest simulation game of the United Nations (National Model United Nations) in New York. The students of the delegation will be prepared for the two-week stay in New York City during the entire winter semester by three students who have already taken part in the simulation.
With all these activities, the Club of Hohenheim offers a unique program for all students of the University of Hohenheim who are interested in international politics and business.
